About

“The right book in the right hands at the right time can change the world.”

Kailey is a music teacher who reads incessantly.  She writes book reviews and makes videos about fantasy, mystery, classics, children’s and middle grade books, graphic novels, manga, and sometimes non-fiction.

I grew up in Mexico as a young Missionary Kid. I was a voracious reader when I was a kid on the mission field. Every birthday and Christmas, the only thing I asked for was more books!
Of course in Mexico, there weren’t any libraries with English books where I could satisfy that appetite for the written word. So I was always looking for more books, and I could never get enough. I ended up re-reading the same ones dozens of times.

This began my book adventure and my love of books!

  3. How wonderful! God bless you as you begin your missionary journey!
I don’t have any specific books to recommend to children on their way to the mission field. But there are a couple of books about missionary children that I have loved…. “Peanut Butter Friends in a Chop Suey World” by Deb Brammer and “Homesick” by Jean Fritz.
    Happy Reading!
